Walk-In Manager: Owner & Manager Getting Started Guide #
Walk-In Manager helps your business manage walk-in clients, team availability, and service rotation from one simple system.
What owners and managers can do #
Owners and managers can:
- Manage team members and remove access when someone leaves.
- Configure the walk-in offer response time.
- Set how long a provider must wait before a service can be marked complete.
- Monitor the waiting list and service activity.
- Mark clients as walked out when they leave before being served.
- View reports and operating statistics.
- Manage the kiosk used for client check-in.
- Configure business branding and selected operational settings.
Before opening for the day #
- Make sure the kiosk is online and paired to the correct business.
- Confirm team members who are working have checked in.
- Verify your walk-in offer response time is appropriate for your team.
- Confirm any service-completion delay is set the way you want.
- Check that notifications are enabled on team members’ devices.
How the daily rotation works #
Team members check in for the day and enter the rotation in check-in order. When a walk-in becomes available, the system offers the client to the next eligible team member.
A team member can accept the walk-in, pass without giving up their place, or become temporarily unavailable if an offer expires. Team members can use Ready to return when they are available again.
Daily reset #
The working rotation resets each calendar day. Team members must check in again when they return for a new workday.
If no team members are available #
The kiosk can show that no team members are currently checked in or available. Depending on your business settings, you may also display a booking link so clients have another option.
Recommended setup #
Before relying on Walk-In Manager during business hours, run a short test with at least two team-member accounts and one test walk-in. Confirm that offers, notifications, acceptance, completion, and return-to-rotation behavior all work as expected.
