How Staff Complete a Walk-In Service #
After you accept a walk-in, Walk-In Manager keeps that service assigned to you until it is completed.
During the service #
Once you accept the walk-in, follow your normal service process. You do not need to leave the Walk-In Manager screen open continuously.
Minimum completion timer #
Your business may require a minimum amount of time before a service can be marked complete.
If a timer is shown, you will not be able to mark the service complete until the timer ends. This rule is set by the owner or manager and helps keep the rotation and service records accurate.
The screen will explain that the service can only be marked complete after the timer stops.
Mark the service complete #
When the service is actually finished and any required timer has ended:
- Open the active walk-in.
- Choose Mark Complete.
- Confirm if prompted.
After completion, Walk-In Manager records the service outcome and returns you to the rotation according to the normal rotation rules.
Do not complete a service early #
Do not mark a service complete simply to become available for another walk-in. Premature completion makes reports inaccurate and can create an unfair rotation.
If you are temporarily unable to take another client after Finishing a service, use the availability controls in the app rather than closing the current service early.
