Walk-In Manager Notifications and Troubleshooting for Staff #
Walk-In Manager relies on device notifications to alert staff when a walk-in offer is waiting.
Enable notifications #
When prompted by the app, allow notifications. If your device blocks them, open your browser or installed app settings and allow notifications for Walk-In Manager.
Keep the app signed in #
You should remain signed in during the workday so the system can associate alerts with your account. You do not need to keep the app open on the screen at all times.
If notifications stop arriving #
- Open Walk-In Manager.
- Look for an Enable alerts or Reconnect alerts option.
- Use that option and approve notification permission if your device asks again.
- Confirm you are checked in and marked available.
- Have a manager send or create a test walk-in if needed.
If you missed an offer #
If the response timer expires, the system may mark you temporarily unavailable so the client can move to the next eligible team member. When you are available again, choose Ready.
Phone is locked or app is closed #
Supported push notifications are designed to alert you even when your phone is locked or the app is not currently open, as long as notification permission is enabled and your device allows background notifications.
Still not working? #
Check that:
- Your phone has internet access.
- Notifications are allowed for the site or installed app.
- Battery-saving settings are not suppressing notifications.
- You are signed into the correct team-member account.
- You checked in for the current day.
If those items are correct and alerts still fail, report the issue to the business owner or manager.
