# How to Manage Shop Booking Customers, History, and Notes

**Package requirement:** Shop Bookings is included only with **Shop Complete**.

Use **Customers** to manage customer information within the selected provider’s booking context.

## Add a customer

1. Open **Booking → Customers**.
2. Choose **Team member**.
3. Under **Add customer**, enter **Name** and any available **Phone** and **Email**.
4. Select **Add customer** and wait for **Saved.**

Search for an existing customer first to avoid unnecessary duplicate records.

## Search and review history

Enter your search in **Search customers** and choose **Search**. Check the customer’s contact details before opening **History**.

The current web interface displays history in a pop-up containing record details. Close it to return to the customer list.

## Save customer notes

1. Open **Notes** beside the correct customer.
2. Enter the customer notes you want to save.
3. Select **Save notes**.

The current notes form opens with an empty text box. Do not assume it displays existing notes or that saving automatically appends to them. Check existing information before replacing notes.

Customer notes and appointment **Private notes** are separate fields. Keep notes relevant to providing service.
